MATCH REPORT: Regnant Queens Triumph Over Island Stars Amazon in Debut Match
Newly formed Regnant Queens Football Academy started their journey at the Africa Stars Academy Tournament in Uyo with a commanding 2-0 victory over Island Stars Amazon at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
From the opening whistle, Regnant Queens dominated the field. Despite their first goal being disallowed for offside, the Queens quickly regrouped and broke through the resilient Island Stars Amazon defense to open the scoring. Their relentless pressure paid off again as they doubled their lead shortly after.
It was Regnant Queens first ever match since its establishment, yet the Queens of Regnant put on a fine display to sweep their opponent apart in most parts of the game.
Island Stars Amazon displayed a solid defensive effort, particularly in the first half, managing to keep the game goalless until the break. However, they were unable to withstand the continuous onslaught from the Regnant Queens in the second half.
